Abstract

In the work, a comparison of experimental and theoretical results for the end-trimming operation justifies the application of the calculation method, as evidenced by experiments on models with non-stationary elements. Such a comparison allows you to clarify the calculation methods and the scope of application of theoretical results, which is limited to excitation coefficients and oscillation amplitudes that do not exceed, respectively, their critical and permissible values. Since the models used in the study correspond to real machine systems, the experimental results provide direct assessments of machine dynamic quality indicators. The parameters of the dynamic machine system are determined, in most cases, empirically to avoid introducing additional errors from the calculation. The study of the operation of cutting the ends of the part by the method of axial feeding (tie-in), in which the position of the cutting zone is variable, and the technological system is non-stationary, has been continued. The experiments were performed on a special stand whose rigidity was measured over a wide range, and the oscillation parameters were measured using inductive and capacitive sensors. The influence of oscillations on the maximum width of the trimmed end, as well as the nature of oscillations when trimming ends of different diameters, has been studied. Experiments were carried out on samples made of steel, gray cast iron, bronze, and aluminum. The vibration resistance of the cutting process was determined by the ratio of the amplitudes of oscillations during cutting to the amplitudes of oscillations at idle. The critical values of the excitation coefficients for the device have been determined, as well as the parameters of the device, which ensure the feasibility of the operation of cutting the ends during turning and grooming. The results obtained develop the theory of non-stationary technological systems..
