Review procedure
The Proceedings of the Odessa Polytechnic University uses double anonymous (blind) review to ensure objectivity, impartiality, and adherence to the highest academic standards. Within this model, authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the evaluation process.

1. Manuscript submission

1.1. Authors submit their manuscripts.

1.2. To maintain anonymity, all identifying information (names, place of work, acknowledgements, etc.) is removed from the file.

2. Initial review by the editors

2.1. The editor-in-chief or his deputy checks the manuscript for:
- compliance with formatting requirements,
- thematic relevance of the journal,
- the presence of plagiarism (using, in particular, StrikePlagiarism).

2.2. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic quality and ethics criteria may be rejected without being sent for review.

3. Appointment of reviewers

3.1. The editor-in-chief or his deputy selects at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

3.2. Reviewers receive an anonymized file of the manuscript.

3.3. Reviewers with a conflict of interest are excluded from the process.

4. Reviewing the manuscript

4.1. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript according to the following criteria:
- scientific validity and methodology,
- originality and contribution to science,
- structure and clarity of presentation,
- accuracy and relevance of references.
4.2. They provide detailed comments and recommendations, classifying the article as:
Accept without changes
Minor changes required
Substantial changes required
Reject

5. Author revisions

5.1. Authors receive anonymous comments and deadlines for revisions, if necessary.
5.2. They must provide a response to the comments.

6. Final decision of the editorial board

6.1. The editor-in-chief or his deputy evaluates the revised manuscript and makes a decision:
- the article meets all requirements - accepted;
- additional changes are required - re-review;
- problems are not resolved - rejected.
6.2. The decision is communicated to the authors.

Double anonymous review guarantees objectivity, minimizes bias and increases confidence in the results of the study. The journal adheres to the ethical guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) in the field of review.
