Transformation of elements of serial project activities

Abstract

The questions of transformation of elements of serial project activities and feasibility assessment procedures of such activities, taking into account the turbulence of environment of the project, are considered. A priori and a posteriori methods for quantifying the degree of transformation of serial project activities in the operating are proposed. For numerical evaluation of the degree the concept of “fractal element of project activity” (FEPD) is introduced. It represents an element (fractal part) of serial project activities consisting of a finite set of such parts and having fractal properties of the project, and such parts are similar to the whole project. As a result, not only the basic attributes of the project, but also the organizational management structure, key processes, the concepts of project management, requirements for document management are saved both for project and for his arbitrary FEPD. The proposed methods for quantifying the degree of transformation of serial project activities into the operating form became a basis for constructing an information system for support of project management decision-making program consisting of serial projects.
